"Getting in and out of the unit and the building was easy. The unit itself was clean and the ocean front views were great. The unit was well laid out. However, everything was dated. The mattress and pillows were worn out. The living room furniture was worn out and the sliding glass door was very difficult to open. The heating and AC units in the living and dining rooms made so much noise, even though we turned them off we had to close the bedroom door at night to sleep. Also we would have appreciated a bath mat in either bath rm.

"Place was perfect for a short beach stay. Spacious and clean apartment, right on the beach. Far south end of VA Beach seems more quiet and less crowded than the middle and north end, but still with some walkable shops and restaurants. Faith was quick to respond with all of our needs and requests. Will look for this apartment for our next trip to VA Beach.

"Faith was a great host — very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made things easy. The unit was clean and had everything we needed, though it is a bit dated. For the price per night, we were hoping for more modern TVs and appliances, but everything functioned as expected. The highlight was definitely the ocean view — absolutely beautiful and worth waking up early for. That said, the balcony screen door was tough to open and close, which was a bit of an inconvenience. One thing to note for future guests: during our stay, the unit next door was undergoing a full kitchen renovation. This isn’t something the host could control, but it did impact our ability to enjoy peaceful mornings and quiet evenings, as work often started early and continued past 6 p.m. I did let Faith know, and she mentioned reaching out to the city about the hours. Since the posted permit indicated the work has been ongoing for some time, it would be helpful if future guests were given a heads-up.
